This is a project I started in late 2008 as a way of giving something back to the photographic community that have helped me. The free photoguides project is an open project that allows photographers to easily write guides to their favorite locations and share them with other photographers. Photographers can browse or search for a specific location and they will see if a guide has been written for this area. The guides are pretty detailed and cover the following:
- An overview of the location including different shooting areas
- Best times of the day to shoot this location (including information such as wind, tides etc.)
- Sample photos from the location
- How to get there
- Equipment to take
